Berkshire Beyond Buffett: The Enduring Value of Values
Plan to attend a pre-session to the Value Investment Panel titled "Berkshire Beyond Buffett: The Enduring Value of Values" featuring the prolific author, Lawrence Cunningham. It will take place in the Harper Center, room 3028 at 2:00 PM.
For two decades, Lawrence Cunningham has been the editor and publisher of The Essays of Warren Buffett: Lessons for Corporate America, the authorized and thematically arranged abridgement of Buffett's shareholder letters. A prolific author, his most recent book is Berkshire Beyond Buffett: The Enduring Value of Values, which Don Graham of the Washington Post called "magnificent, important and fun."
Cunningham's dozen other books include What is Value Investing? and How To Think Like Benjamin Graham and Invest Like Warren Buffett. His shorter work has appeared in the New York Times, Financial Times and Wall Street Journal, and his books have been well-reviewed in those periodicals as well as in The Economist, Forbes, and USA Today.
A popular professor at George Washington University, Cunningham was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, graduated high school from Girard College in Philadelphia, earned an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Delaware, and law degree from Yeshiva University's Cardozo Law School in New York. He is a former deal lawyer at New York's Cravath, Swaine & Moore.
In addition to lecturing widely, Cunningham loves teaching, writing, reading, running, biking, swimming, and spending time with his wife and two daughters, especially at the beach. He divides the rest of his time between New York City and Washington D.C.
